Family Fridate

Join One For All for our bi-weekly family Friday events filled with art, music, and joy. In recent times, it’s been hard to find spaces where adults can have a safe and fun date night, while also finding affordable childcare. Well, One For All and Clarkville understand the struggle and are here to offer your family an after dinner event that takes care of all your needs. At 6pm families arriving at One For All will be divided into two groups: Grown-Ups and Children. The children will all be taken into the back studio space where they will all engage in fun games, art activities and dancing. All the grown ups will remain in the gallery for a relaxing night of wine and painting. Clarkville, a delicious neighboring restaurant, is generously supplying red and white wines for the evening. A teaching artist will be working with all the adults in a step by step painting where they can relax and enjoy time together without having to worry about what the kids are up to. At the end of the night, grown ups and children will reunite and share their artworks and experiences together!

Figure Drawing

Have you always wanted to be able to draw the human figure, but always get too intimidated or never know where to start? Are you a professional or student artist, but can never seem to find willing models? No matter what your experience is with figure drawing, this class has something for everyone. Beginners can come ready to participate in step-by-step tutorials and demonstrations. Professionals can come, set up, and start working from the model. We will decide on the model pose as a group. This class is meant to be stress-free and fun!

This is a bring your own supplies class. The cost of class allows us to pay the model and does not cover any additional costs. If you would like to purchase drawing supplies for class, we sell supplies in our gallery as you walk in. It is important to us to be able to provide affordable arts programming, thank you for being a part of our community!

Ladies Night - a paint & sip event

One For All is run primarily by women, and we have noticed that there really is a lack of spaces and events specifically for women. So we thought “What would be better than to have an event exclusively for women and art?”. Join us here at One For All for a bi-weekly Ladies Night where we will relax and enjoy a step-by-step painting project, as well as some fun games. Already a painting pro, but want to come and meet some other awesome women? Not a problem, you can work independently and do your own thing with your painting if you would like! In addition to enjoying some games and painting, Clarkville ( a delicious local, neighborhood restaurant) will graciously be supplying each Ladies Night with red and white wines. Sober? Not 21 yet? Don’t worry - we will have some yummy alcohol free beverages as well to choose from!

Sketchbook Art

Are you a visual learner who often has a hard time finding the words to explain how you are feeling? Are you actually quite the opposite, but are trying to learn new ways of thinking or expressing yourself? For artists and creative thinkers, a sketchbook is a visual journal. Our sketchbooks are where we process ideas, emotions, thoughts, and so much more. For some, a sketchbook is an extremely intimate and personal object, while others freely share it with the world. In this class series we will explore the practice of keeping a sketchbook, learn more about the history of this practice, and we will be given prompts to start our own sketchbook in a way that feels easy, and natural.

This is a virtual class that will take place on Zoom. After your registration process is complete you will receive an email confirming your spot in class and it will include your zoom class link. All you need for class is a sketchbook and colored pencils!

Colors around the world

Did you know that the color associations change depending on where a person is from, what their childhood was like, and what community they are a part of? A person from America may be GREEN with envy, however a person from Germany may be YELLOW with envy. In this class we will learn about color meanings and associations from around the world. Each class we will focus on a different color. After our lesson and discussion, we will do a fun sketchbook activity surrounding the color and themes we spoke about in class.

This is a virtual class that will take place on Zoom. After your registration process is complete you will receive an email confirming your spot in class and it will include your zoom class link. All you need for class is a sketchbook and colored pencils!
