Summer Art Camp

Welcome to the Family.

At One For All, we practice (a term we might have made up ourselves) Family Style Education. We believe that children need to feel safe, heard, and respected in order to learn best. Our kids all learn together in one group, which promotes our students to encourage and support one another in their unique, individualized creative goals for the day. Each day starts and ends with a circle time, where students learn to openly express themselves and provide caring feedback to one another. They also “Grade” their teachers at the end of each day and explain why they give that grade. We truly become one big, happy family by the end of the summer.

Won’t you join us? We would love to have you!

A Note on Summer Art Camp

(July 2025)

We're so excited about our Summer Art Camp, but as of July 2025, we've had low enrollment, which means we can't run the program as planned just yet.

We're really hoping to build momentum and offer camp in August! To do so, we need 5 full-time students to register. Your registration can help us create a vibrant and enriching summer experience for our young artists.

While we work to reach our August camp goal, we invite you to explore our fantastic Classes and Clubs, available for sign-up throughout July and the rest of the summer. There's still plenty of art to be made!

a space for every artist

One For All is a safe haven for Art Kids everywhere.

Our Summer Art Camp begins on June 16th and runs throughout the summer, with a one-week break until August 18th. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, we offer full camp days from 9 AM to 3 PM. Tuesdays and Thursdays feature shorter days from 9 AM to 12 PM. Members benefit from a significant discount on camp pricing, while non-members will find our rates to be quite reasonable. Schedule a studio tour with our Director to receive the registration packet essential for starting your Summer Art Camp experience.

A Day at Camp.

Curious about what our days look like? Well below is a brief breakdown of what our full days looks like during a day at camp.

  • As students make it into camp for the start of the day they find their own personalized sketchbook at the art tables after signing in, and we have sketchbook time with a prompt of the day until everyone arrives.

  • During opening circle, we go around the circle with an opening ice breaker and a question of the day. We usually discuss what we are excited to learn about that day, and the media of the day. The art activity lesson gets introduced and we hold a discussion about the subject matter.

  • After circle time, the teacher demonstrates and gives instructions about the art activity. We go over it step by step and campers can ask any questions they may have.

  • This is dedicated work time with a snack break given somewhere in between. We usually will have group projects going on as well that students can choose to work on.

  • We have an hour lunch to just unwind, chill and eat our lunch.

  • We are only a 4 minute walk to Gateway Park, and will take advantage of that during this timeslot. We like to give an hour of free play or Park time each camp day. We have been known to make up our own games, have dance parties in the gallery, and have competitions of all sorts.

  • The last hour of camp we work on our group art project for the week. Each week we have a new group project and the campers really get into them. An example from one year would be the life sized Rosie the Robot, made out of recycled materials.

  • At 3pm we hold our closing circle where students share their thoughts and feelings about the day. They also are asked to grade their teachers and to explain why they choose that particular grade. This is really popular and our campers always like to think really hard about what the grades they assign!

Two Summer Sessions.

One For All’s Summer Art Camp is made up of two full sessions. Our first session starts in the early summer when kids get out of school in June. We have structured weeks that follow themes. There is a one week break (our teachers sure do need some rest after the first session)before we start our session in August.

In August we hold our second summer session where each week we focus on a different Art History theme. The students enrolled each week choose these themes. One week the group may choose to learn about Pointilism, the next might be Abstract Expressionism. Don’t worry, our structure will be similar each day and individual and group art projects alike are incorporated into the second session just the same as the first! The end of summer will be fun, educational and exploratory!

Pizza Fridays!

That’s right, every Friday is Pizza Friday at One For All for lunchtime! This is great for building community relationships, as we always are sure to get our pizza from a local small business instead of a larger chain restaurant.

Stay tuned for news on who our Pizza Friday Partner will be this Summer!
